Cerne Giant Ride. This equestrian endurance ride takes place over Whit weekend, and there will be new distances this year.
Around 150 riders from all over England compete over distances
from 18 to 52 miles, during which they are subjected to stringent vettings.
Helpers and visitors are invited to attend. Start and finish from Beauvoir

| June 21-22, 2008 | Open Gardens. Cerne Abbas was the first village in England to open private gardens to the public for a special weekend. The tradition continues and more than 20 gardens are open each year. There are also plant sales and garden teas. | BobFoulser |

| June 26-29, 2008 | Cerne Abbas Music Festival. The internationally known Gaudier Ensemble come to Cerne Abbas to perform a range of contemporary and classical works in St Mary's Church. |
